At Blue Poppy we have been super excited about the excellent customer feedback we are receiving on our newest line of topical products. We call it the ReDermaVive by People’s Herbs line. One of the newest products in that line is the Red Rescue & Renew Oil. It uses the tried-and-true Blue Poppy Sooth (formerly Burn) Ointment as its starting point. It is a wonderful product to protect the health of the skin, particularly skin damaged by the sun—it is also indicated for chronically dry, chapped skin. It can be followed by a moisturizer. Like the entire ReDermavive line, it is free of carcinogens, parabens, SLS & SLES, phthalates, and synthetic fragrances. We make all of these products right here in our own certified production facility.

The botanical oils alone, you will note, are uncommon ones if you inspect the labels of competing products. Rose hip oil, sea buckthorn oil, and hibiscus seed oil exert a significant synergistic influence on the skin and promote healthy moisture. They are excellent with sensitive skin types.

The base of the Blue Poppy Sooth (former Burn) Ointment is intended for the topical treatment of burns and scalds. It is based on a highly efficacious formula designed and researched at the Ping-yi County Chinese Medical Hospital in Henan. Bob Flaws modified this formula using Chinese herbs commonly available in the West with which Western practitioners are familiar. It incorporates the ingredients of Chen Shi-gong’s famous Ming dynasty Zi Cao Gao (Lithospermum Ointment), plus several more to make it even more specific and effective for burns and scalds. The key functions of this formula are to clear heat and dry dampness, to cool the blood, to resolve toxins, to quicken the blood and stop pain, to transforms stasis and eliminate the putrid, and to closes sores and engender healthy, new flesh.
