About the Author
Bob Quinn, L.Ac., DAOM has been in practice since 1998, almost the entire time focusing on the gentle styles of modern Japan more than the TCM he was originally trained in. Bob is a former high school teacher and the son of two teachers, so education is in his blood. He has taught at OCOM, NUNM, and ASOM, but retired from full-time teaching a year ago. He now devotes himself to writing, private practice, and mentorship.
Bob is a bodyworker, an acupuncturist, an herbalist, and a dreamworker. In the field of bodywork Bob has investigated new directions for Sotai, a Japanese style of movement-neurological reeducation; he refers to his style as Yin Sotai. He also continues his studies in Qigong Tuina, an ancient, and quite subtle, Taoist bodywork style.
Bob has pioneered the use of dream images in patient treatment in Chinese Medicine. In ancient times this was in fact a part of Chinese Medicine, as we can read in the Neijing.
